Dance
Coker College's rich history
in dance is extended and expanded by the Elizabeth Boatwright
Coker Performing Arts Center. Two new dance studios provide
important classroom and rehearsal space.
The 466-seat
proscenium theater hosts the annual professional-level
Fall and Spring Dance Concerts, which feature original
guest artist and student choreography. The spring dance
concert is traditionally the senior these work of dance
majors.
Coker
College upholds and defends the intellectual and artistic
freedom of its faculty and students as they study and
create art and live performances that explore the full
spectrum of human experience. The College considers such
pursuits central to the spirit of inquiry and thoughtful
discussion at the heart of a liberal arts education.
