There are many reasons to support Coker College’s Annual Scholarship
Fund every year. the best reason this year
is that Coker College is celebrating its Centennial.
- In 1908, a group forward thinking community leaders founded a small
liberal arts college and named it for its chief benefactor, Major
James Lide Coker. It was a decision that would have an immeasurable
positive impact on the lives of thousands of people.
- In 2008, Coker College celebrates 100 years of being a dynamic academic
community focused on the development of ethical character,
leadership skills and social responsibility.
- It’s not every year that you turn 100. Help Coker College
celebrate by supporting the Annual Scholarship Fund, the College’s
fundraising priority. Year after year, the Annual Scholarship
Fund directly benefits Coker’s students.
- Anyone who makes a gift to the Annual
Scholarship Fund in 2008 will be listed on the Coker College
Centennial Honor Roll. The honor roll will be published in the
Commentary and on this website.
- Coker College has a remarkable history and the future holds unlimited potential. You are invited to be part of that future by supporting the Annual Scholarship Fund.
- Few occasions are as significant as a 100th anniversary. Throughout
2008, Coker College is marking its centennial with a series
of events "Celebrating the Coker Experience — A Century
of Excellence.”
- Join us as we proudly celebrate a remarkable past and a brilliant
future.
